I’m try a new solution for a better honeypot for Forminator Contact Form, Payment Form & Custom Form Builder. Spam protection, anti-spam for Forminator Forms.
You only have to activate the plugin to make it work on all forms.
Plugin add a new field (with js) on your forms and check if it exists or it is valorized.
To change the name of the honeypot input you will find a settings page under the WordPress tools menu.

- Upload the plugin files to the ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress add plugins page directly.
- Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ page in WordPress.
- Clean cache.
- You can found settings for randomize honeypot field name under tools.

I noticed this handy dandy plugin only had one review and since I use it on all my sites these days, I figured I should give it a rating. Anyway, it works well and seems to really help cut down on junk and spammers using my forms. Combine it with a captcha and you only get the human spammers which are relatively rare.

Even with both the built-in Honeypot and ReCaptcha enabled, I was getting a ton of spam in one of my Forminator Forms. It almost seemed like I started getting more spam after I turned the built-in Honeypot on.
It’s been 24 hours now with this plugin and I haven’t gotten a single spam email. Normal submissions are still getting through, and site speed hasn’t been affected at all.
