General Settings
Go to GS Coach Shortcode to create or edit a shortcode. The General Settings tab allows you to control the basic layout, structure, and content display of your coach showcase.
Set a Shortcode Name to identify your shortcode easily. Choose a Theme Effect and View Type to define how your coaches will appear on the frontend.
Control how coach items behave using the Link Type and Link Target options. Select appropriate Image Sizes to keep coach thumbnails consistent across your layout.
You can enable or disable elements such as Coach Title, Coach Subtitle, and Coach Details, while Title Limit helps control the length of coach titles for cleaner layouts.
The Control Details option allows you to decide which coach information should be displayed within each coach item.
These settings help you configure how coaches are structured and displayed while keeping the setup simple and flexible.
Carousel Note: When the carousel is enabled, the filter and pagination are disabled.
Style Settings
The Style Settings tab allows you to control the visual layout and typography of your coach’s showcase.
Adjust the number of coaches displayed per row using Desktop Items, Tablet Items, Portrait Mobile Items, and Mobile Items to ensure the layout adapts properly across different screen sizes.
Typography options such as Title Typography, Subtitle Typography, and Details Typography lets you customize the appearance of coach titles, subtitles, and coach details for better readability and visual consistency.
Query Settings
The Query Settings tab allows you to control which coaches are displayed and how they are organized in the showcase.
Set the number of coaches to display using the Coaches option. Use Order By and Order to define how coaches are sorted, such as by date, title, or custom order.
For filter navigation, Filter Order By and Filter Order help control how coach filters are arranged.
You can also refine the results using Exclude/Include options for Coach Category and Coach Tag, allowing you to display only specific groups of coaches or hide selected ones from the layout.

Global Settings for GS Coach
Navigate to GS Coach > Coach Shortcode and select Preferences.
The Preferences section lets you manage the global settings of GS Coach from one place. You can customize coach profile URLs, archive page details, single profile layout, breadcrumbs, next/previous navigation, clickable phone and email links, search behavior, frontend labels, multilingual support, font loading, lazy loading, and custom styling.
This section also allows you to rename many frontend text labels, such as address, email, profession, experience, education, location, schedule, availability, fee, review, rating, skills, social links, filter text, search text, and button text. These options help you make the coach showcase feel more natural for your website and audience.
For advanced control, you can use the performance options to disable Google Fonts or lazy loading, enable multilingual support for translated websites, and add custom CSS to fine-tune the design.

Install GS Coach plugin as a regular WordPress plugin. Here is different ways to install GS Coach plugin :
Install by Search Plugin

Use consistent square images for the cleanest grid and profile presentation. A 400 × 400 pixel image is the existing recommendation, although a larger optimized square image can appear sharper on high-density screens. Keep the same aspect ratio for all coaches and compress images before uploading.

Go to GS Coach Shortcode, create or edit a showcase, and configure its layout and query settings. Copy the generated shortcode, such as it is, and paste it into a page, post, shortcode block, or compatible page-builder module.

Confirm that the shortcode exists, at least one coach profile is published, and the shortcode ID is correct. Check Query Settings for restrictive Include or Exclude rules, confirm selected taxonomy terms contain coaches, and clear WordPress, builder, CDN, and browser caches after making changes.

Why does a single coach page show a 404 error?

Go to WordPress Settings Permalinks and click Save Changes to refresh WordPress rewrite rules. Then review the coach slug and archive settings, clear all caches, and make sure the coach slug does not conflict with an existing page or post type.

How do I sort coaches by date, ID, name, or direction?

Open Query Settings for the shortcode. Select Coach Name, ID, Date, or another available option under Order By, then choose ASC or DESC under Order. Save the shortcode to apply the new order.
